You can see the difference between 'swaben' fonts (left), and gothic
fonts (right).
This is a shell script which builds up a TeX file with all the fonts available in the texmf directory. A font table, if you want. It is far from being perfect, and when tex-ing the '/tmp/final_font_list.tex' file human intervention is still needed, but it satisfied my needs.
